What this site collects
This website is a set of flat files. It has no database, no accounts, no comment forms and no advertising. It sets no cookies. The web server keeps a standard access log, which records the address a request came from, the page asked for and the time.
How long we keep it
Access logs are kept for thirty days and then deleted. We look at them when something is misbehaving and otherwise not at all.
When you write to us
If you email or call, we keep what you send for as long as it is useful in answering you, and for as long afterwards as the law requires us to keep business correspondence. We do not add you to a mailing list. We do not have a mailing list.
If we ever want to do something with your information that this page does not describe, we will ask first.
If you are a client
The monitoring service handles considerably more data than this website does. That is covered by your service agreement and its data processing schedule, not by this page. The short version:
- We see metadata about activity on your systems, not the contents of files or messages.
- Logs are stored in the United States and retained for twelve months.
- Nothing is shared with anyone except at your instruction or under legal compulsion, and in the second case we tell you unless forbidden to.
